或許從這個方向想：top，left，middle，right 是四個模塊，像四塊地磚，上面有花紋，堆起來成一個圖案，換了一塊又成另一圖案。它們之間應該有關係，但又全是可變的，個別變可以，一起變也可以。版面的形態隨個別頁的變換而變化，一個的變化（一塊地磚）可以令整個圖形，線條，色彩基調完全改觀。只要接位接得好，看起來便不覺是模塊。Banner 和 button 是功能，做得好可以保持功能但沒有「不外如是」的感覺。文字圖片的位置可以固定（其實也是可變的），只是背景變化......

Will send to you. The btm icon color too share, I thinak you need to redesingn the ground color for matching! two size"70x70" and "70x140" one set pattern with two colorway for combination.

非常同意。機器佬講實際冇想像力，冇法。小薯仔唔懂 html 有好處，咁就唔會因循，所以我唔干涉佢個設計，只係跟住做，難做都照做。
天馬可以行空，出牌也不用按牌理。用新車作喻，小薯仔是汽車設計師，我只是個工程師，engine 來來去去那幾款，隻車賣唔賣得好多時睇你個 look 殺唔殺食。有冇意外驚喜？要睇小薯仔你啦！（有冇壓力？）

你個 design 個 size 好大，1024 乘 9xx，明顯照顧大 monitor，帶領潮流。而家你個啲掣大約係 160pix，頂頭個 banner 約 130pix。可以做個 reference。middle and right 冇所謂，想點就點。

你俾我睇個新版個啲掣一排過，比較悶，可唔可以左右左右排或者四個四個一堆，好似容易睇啲。
1.以上意思是否在life frame排位?我無問題.你需要life frame的寬度是多少?
2.聽你分柝left/middle/right�m不錯!可否提供尺寸參考?

一般先做 top，bottom frame，再在 bottom frame 分 left，right frame。你要左中右我就在 right frame 再分 middle，right，好處係要大地方時可退回一個 frame，middle 同 right 就即時成一個大 right frame。top frame 係你個 banner，left frame 個邊係掣。右邊係內容。其實你個底點畫都得，只要 frame 同 frame 之間個夾口靚，睇唔到就可以。呢個我比較難做到。Version1 用上 iframe，內外共兩條 slide bar。我諗你用緊大 monitor 唔覺，細 monitor 會比較痳煩，要拉兩條 bar。
你俾我睇個新版個啲掣一排過，比較悶，可唔可以左右左右排或者四個四個一堆，好似容易睇啲。
新版會用 CSS 寫，更 flexible。重有啲字做晒 graphic，咁老頑童點改都唔變大小，呢啲叫以不變應萬變。哈！

2.Divx我真係download咗,佢有support window介面.我裝咗後發覺行explorer7deta非帶𣈱須.上下載都好快.畫面音質效果都有所提升

你同個機器佬講設計佢梗係話要快靚正，立即畫個四平八正既框框俾你叫你放晒的野入去。我本身對版面設計冇意見。但你真係要我講既話我就話傳統既 top frame 加下面兩個 left，right frame 最好做。呢個亦係校友會網頁既舊版面設計。你個設計只係形似，其實完全唔係個回事，你個條藍線我根本處理唔到，最後將你個 graphic 做左 wallpaper，再在上加文字。十足十大戲臺上面既佈景。
Discuz 睇黎幾好，佢叫 CMS(content management system)，有冇想過用佢算數？
你個 flash logo 冇問題，只係冇咁暢順，我較喜歡舊設計。
DIVX 個 compression 話好過好多舊 format，冇所謂，media player support 到就可以。要人專登 download player 唔係咁方便。只係我既意見。

返正題-一定同意再來VERSION2.因為真是需要增加幾個主頁ICON及重排列位與更生內容.
我有個非常蕳單的提意,師兄未寫之前可否用紙手繪一個你心目中的簡單線框SCAN比我地LOOK,睇下GRAPHIC可否配合.其實TABLE擺位是主導影响GRAPHIC設計.我地只是美工裝身剪剪貼貼.
呀!我比你個MICROMEDIA FLASH FORMAT(SWF)LOGO.WORK唔WORK呀?我想比的COMMENT!如果得日後可嘗試運用於其它地方.

名稱只是個方便，你要怎樣也可以，大家都知道就可以了。不叫 xxx1.1.jpg 可叫 xxx1_1.jpg 或 xxx.1a.jpg。但不要叫 xxx1 1.jpg。Space 有些 OS 唔食。你去改吧。

T-恤海報的名稱可否更改，因為我用Photoshop亦確實開唔到，若其他校友不懂在名稱上把.2jpeg更改，正常電腦無法確認是何類形File。

相片解像只需更改長或闊，例如更改為闊度768，它的長度並不需理會，有可能長度會變成1500等，但不需要硬性設定為1024x768，那麼相片才不會變形。

我試過冇問題一樣可以download及開啟!變形我用1024x768.我賴得改為768x1024,一般睇唔出問題所在.
box1.2jpgfile name,因就師兄程式運作.我不敢亂改.

本來很忙，忙著更新網頁，但看了你說的，又不得不說。
備份是網絡供應商的責任，我們也做不來。我們的那小部份，當然備份。專業的備份是天天做，有幾十個日子的備份。十年前你在網上已寫過又擦掉而且也忘了的文字也大有可能可從備份找回來，不用到府上抄家。不是說笑的。小心！
你說的分區討論，我們正在做，新討論區將會如此，你也看過樣版吧。一番大變化，現在只是開始。幾位年青幹事雄心萬丈，又有幹勁，我只是跟著走，看快也跟不上了。也對，正合「一代新人勝舊人」這話之意。

電腦怪怪的，沒打完就自動送出去。
我想說希望九萬里和各位高手要把這網頁弄妥當一些，千萬別讓它一不心就在這虛擬世界裏化作灰煙。備份呀，一定要想辦法做好備份。
另外，如果可以不再受網絡供應者束縛的話，討論區可不可以細分一下。如敘舊倩的，談文論政的……老實說，海闊天空自由談固然可以提高「點擊率」，但是最近一連串風月文章和政論鉅著，似乎令討論區成為一小最人的私人飯局。
唉！這個問題本來就不只是咱們校友會網頁獨有的問題，只不過實在感觸甚深，提出來說說。這種問題恐怕己不是你們幾位義務工作的人可以解決的。
無論如何，的確要謝謝你們為大家所做的。

對，理論與實戰有時很不相同。我還要在網上再找找，看有沒有解釋。
這 hit counter是 live update 的。反應較慢，我想與他們定義較仔細有關。他們有 Hit，visit，host 的定義。一個 host 可以在不同時間 visit，每一個 visit，進出各個主副頁，這些進出就是 hit，統計可以精細至每個副頁的流量，停了多久。當然何時是 visit，何時是 hit 我想有時很難分得清楚。所以新計數器的數目與舊的有不同就很自然了。我們昨天的 hit rate 是 17xx。但 host 和 visit 只有百多。在往日，我們依舊制已過了二十萬人次了。
無論如何，今日過十萬，這個一定走不了。

真的怪！一樣的 .htm 在不同的地方有不同的效果。以前沒留意，現在發覺用 frame 和 iframe call link 不一定能 call 到的。這問題與新討論區只 call 到登記頁差不多。那又不純是 Firefox 的問題了。有趣！

Well! The scripts run on client side. There is no problem with MS IE, I guess some where along the line that Firefox doesn't like it at all. I would still try to find bugs in Firefox.

睇黎老頑童忍唔住手要出招啦。我想問題在這句指令：

那新討論區和上載短片不是技術問題，是版權問題。為何如此，又是說來話長。我已改好了新討論區，上載短片還在改。Playground 我已清了一個 folder，現在有 3M 空間。另外你說母校網頁的問題還未試。
你說的新內容沒問題。我想你們也可試寫一些內頁。長遠計，你們也要懂才能隨時改內容呀。

你的問題我想也沒想過，真的是個大問題。整個首頁看來要重新再寫過。Edward 話要 user friendly，咁你做住個 friendly user 先，拎個放大鏡睇住三兩個月先好唔好。

老頑童: If the Firefox connects with high speed network in Vancouver Library, it likes catching a mouse(click the icon on the top frame). However, I use dial-up at home so it has no problem to hit the target(icon). User friendly is top priority for any software design. It always take time to eliminate unwanted side effects.

Hi Edward,
Try to click the "Stop"icon from the tool bar when the old web page shows up with all the top and left buttons.
That will stop linking to the new web page and you should be able to browse as the old way.
Don't worry! I think 九萬里will fix it soon.

I am now using library 's computer that enables me to use 2 web browsers at the same time.
The new web page cannot be link with Firefox when it automatically go into new web page.(totally crash-indicates page cannot be found).
Perhaps, you can modify as following: Stop automatically link to new web page.
Allow manually click "go into new web page" and it can at least displays the frame icons of the old web page for the time being so that I can select item as usual.

我用Firefox Ver.1.01在顯現出舊主頁後便不能進入新主頁.彈出The page cannot be found. 似乎找或去不到 main.htm. 讓我更生Firefox再試試.
還有, 請忘記我先前說的icon內容定位小毛病. 因我用Largest字體觀看網頁. 所以icon 偏離和內容字體出格.
經轉回中號(Medium size)後全部正常化.

你在用 firefox 嗎？網頁顯示有沒有問題？我們這網頁專為 IE 而寫，沒有用其他 browser 試過。我也想知道有無兼容問題（我想應該有的）。你可試試嗎？

你的問題除了 1 外全都是內容問題，都不難解決。
要告訴大家，瀏覽人次計數器是接到外間網站的（因我們做不到互動），這網站提供的資料非常詳盡，遲些找些有趣的統計數據給大家看看。但我和幾位負責網頁的幹事都沒興趣（也不會）查看及公開上來校友的個人資料（重申這些資料都不是／也不能是秘密），請大家放心。但這是新變動，我想大家是有需要知道的。
回到那個計數器，我會想想方法改顏色。計數的方法我管不來，其實也不容易定計算的準則，大家的準則不同，數字就各異，和你們特區的遊行人數一樣，我想你們也習慣了吧。

對!現在我們可以正式進入新版面的各單項測試!太好了!
當然各位兄弟仍需繼續努力啇為更完善版本努力.
我有以下意見提出,大家看看及請提供分享!
1.瀏覽人次-數字改為紅色及粗字會比較易見到
(師兄,當我從舊版主頁click入新測試版時發覺瀏覽人
次有誤差情況)
2.組織/宗旨及入會資格/成立歷史/回憶錄這四部份內容
我傾向於重新編寫,至於會用Gif/flash or Video
Movie形式容後再商確.
3.組織-有見於近日校友會及各校友熱心發起成立校友會
教育獎勵基金.我會嘗試在組織一欄處加開一個獨立版
頁.因為組織的參與人仕未必一是定是校友會幹士.而
該基金的運作是完全獨立於校友會日常營運帳目.希望
可做到高度透明的匯報.以供各人仕跟進閱覽.
4.校友傳奇-內容暫不需作大改動.但長遠來說仍會作出
重新包裝及增加傳訪.當然內容仍需各方兄弟的堤供才
可達成.
5.回憶錄-內容是有廹切性的增加.四十三年的歷史一定
會有很多輝煌的成績.如運動及其它.
6.贊助及廣告-此欄已與會長商議.決定增加免費的校友
公司推廣.目的是希望讓校友與在校學生可加了解.這
是一個義務及自願的互動性質.
7.歷屆校友名單及相片-現仍有不盡全資料.有關天水圍
部份潘副校已答應盡快跛跟進.但牛津道各屆畢業同學
照片有賴各方友好提供
8.相片共賞與校友留言及公開論壇-因為可能會有大改動
因此容後再商討
註:師兄請CHECK CHECK,加映短片(新片)/母校網頁/文化欣賞區此三區的連結不太穩定,不論CLICK ICON OR 詳情.均不能自動彃彈出新視窗,要將現有使用中的視窗縮細才會彃彈出.有時甚至會CONECT不到.

Sorry, I misunderstood the meaning of your question 4 and 5.
I planned to put moving pictures (like the 活動佈告板）there so the numbers of selection will not be limited. That will be the job of version 2.0.

I was read the ABC is nearly close to our concept desgin. but a few colum not effect.
1.組織did not connect the link of the page.
Will fix.
2.Pui Shing Catholic Secondary School alumni Association have not hide link for back to main page.
The logo does but not the name at the top.
For technical reason, it can't be done. Sorry.
3.When click into the 新討論區icon was show the PHPBB regristation form only. Is it correct?
It doesn't happen to me. Let me check.
4. 文化欣賞區may have add the scroller bar for future if we the topic over than the window size?
5.加映短片that the same as above enqury!
4 & 5. It's normal. The bar will appear when the size is bigger than the window.
The whole page was very good for alumni al!
I will do a redirection test very soon. If it work, the link will be directed to the new page automaticlly.

I don't know. It may be just a folder limit. Looks like you guys are using it quite happily. I don't have time to check it right now. And I always follow the rude: don't fix it until it break. :-)

The problem is caused by "storage full". I uploaded too much stuff to our site and made it stopped working.
However, I updated the site. You can see the new look now. I want to promote it on-line within few hours. Since there is no more storage (very danger), we need to remove some minor files ASAP(especially pictures).
Will give you an update.

This morning in chart box was finding a message of that topic call "testing and infirm to delete the message. At the moment I was guess that form you,so I was delete the message by forum admin,Anyway for ftp programe,just ISP and alumni to get involve,but I am sure our alumni did not get open that file.So you know who to made it now la!

I am not sure what causes the problem. Is it from my side (my network) or your side (ISP)?
Did you try the upload test? Just upload something to playground to check if it works or not.

ABC doesn't work because I deleted all the files.
I saw that "testlinf dor chart" also. I don't know what it is. There is nothing inside. I will delete it later.

I am uploading some new pages to playground. I deleted all the files there but couldn't do the upload (it stayed there forever). I don't know the reason. Can you try a file upload test to playgournd?
