Hi Sam,

If you follow this message board religiously, you would have picked up that this poor Pui Shing old boy had managed to tear his calf muscle ... sustained an injury got me totally immobile for nearly a month and hence I kept low...guess what, I got the injury while playing football!!!
Well, everyone tells me that I should hang my football boots up at my age ... but I believe I really got hit by some kind of voodoo when I first set foot onto the "Oxford groud", and I can't resist kicking a round object ever since. I will continue to put on my boots whenever possible...lesson learned - when you are over 30 years old, always do at least 20 minutes proper warm-up [do it until you sweat] before any taking part in vigorous sports activities

The subject question I posted here is really intended to provoke some minds (I don't have the answers myself) and perhaps sevres to steer the mind set to the following:
* the objectives of the association
* what, when, where, who, how to achieve the objectives

Like baking a cake, we break the eggs one by one and in the end, we might have a nice cake to share ...

As for me, I volunteer to be the stirrer!!!

Brother Big Nose,

Nice to see you coming out again - it's been a while.
You spell out the question in my mind. Actually the objectives of the Pui Shing Alumni Association are available under the second tab on the top menu. I thought it was not available when I first tried but the animation takes a while to load and play, as follows.

宗旨
發揚母校明德至善精神
聯絡校友間之感情
打破年代隔膜以融合成培聖大家庭

I can see the very good intention and it actually works, although still at a small scale. However in any community there is always a silent majority. Those in it will never make a sound until they are pushed under the spot light. Even so they will still want to escape. They will not even want to write to others via this platform. It is a matter of personality.
What really makes me wonder, is the number of old boys/old girls gone to the trouble of registering their contact details with the Association. I believe many are still not yet on the register. It is a challenge to make all alumni aware of this organisation and at least leave their contacts. I hope we can come up with some good ideas.

Happy New Year
Sam

I would like to know why some Pui Shing old boys would want to maintain association with Pui Shing...

all the same, why some old Pui Shing old boys would not be bothered to maintain association with Pui Shing...

Having a better understanding might help to develop ways to draw more Pui Shing old boys to paying more attention to the Pui Shing Alumni Association.

By the way, waht are the objectives of the Pui Shing Alumni Association?
